Lone Tree Creek Regional Trail

Lone Tree Creek Regional Trail
Parks & Trails

Project Overview

This project included the final design of over two miles of trail along Lone Tree Creek from East Broncos Parkway to East Caley Avenue for the City of Centennial. The design was a continuation of the Conceptual Design Plan that was completed by ICON and included updated field survey, refinements in the conceptual trail plan, horizontal and vertical alignments, design for ADA compliance, retaining walls due to right of way constraints, local drainage analysis, floodplain compliance with regard to the Lone Tree Creek FEMA regulated floodplain, utility modifications, compliance with ACWWA for water and sanitary sewer conflicts and work with CDOT for improvements along Arapahoe Road.

ICON completed extensive coordination with the City of Centennial, SEMSWA, CDOT, ACWWA, and Xcel during the design phase of the project as well as presided at two public meetings to present the project to the local property owners. The final design package included construction drawings, specifications, bid schedule and a final engineer’s estimate.
